What Causes a Hurricane To Form?
'What Causes a Hurricane to form' well that's a great question, what causes it to form? Well I Know, a hurricane can form by two essential ingredients in every hurricane are warm water and moist air. that's why hurricane begin in the tropics.Hurricanes are the most awesome, violent storms on Earth. They form near the equator over warm ocean waters. Actually, the term hurricane is used only for the large storms that form over the Atlantic Ocean or eastern Pacific Ocean. The generic, scientific term for these storms, wherever they occur, is tropical cyclone. The storms also require moist air and converging equatorial winds. Most Atlantic hurricanes begin off the west coast of Africa, starting as thunderstorms that move out over the warm, tropical ocean waters. A hurricane's low-pressure center of relative calm is called the eye that it's in the center of the Hurricane. And that's how a hurricane starts to form.

How Fast Do Winds Rotate?
Do you know how fast do winds rotate in a hurricane, well I know. Hurricane is an area of rotating thunderstorms with winds of 62 km/hr (38 mph) or less. A tropical depression becomes a tropical storm if its winds reach 63 km/hr (39 mph). A tropical storm becomes a hurricane if its winds reach 119 km/hr (74 mph).

What Scale Is Used To Measure The Strength/Damage?
Do you ever wonder how do people measure a hurricane, well a hurricane is huge and it hard to measure also, well people don't just go to the sea when a hurricane is coming and then get a measurement and than measure the hurricane, well NO! that's just DUMB, well they don't do that they use this special item and use it to measure the hurricane, and it's called a Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale. The Saffir–Simpson hurricane wind scale Western Hemisphere tropical cyclones that exceed the intensities of tropical depressions and tropical storms – into five categories distinguished by the intensities of their sustained winds. To be classified as a hurricane, a tropical cyclone must have maximum sustained winds of at least 74 mph (33 64 kn 119 km/h). The highest classification in the scale, is reserved for storms with winds exceeding 156 mph (70 m/s 136 kn 251 km/h)
